Job Description

If you want to use your strong customer service background and HR knowledge to foster and create a positive employee experience, then this is the position for you.

The HR Service Centre is responsible for the administration of programs and policies related to all functional areas of Human Resources. The HR Service Centre Representative has a critical role within the team by providing front-line support to employees and leaders.

This posting is for one full-time, temporary (non-permanent) hourly position, working 35 hours per week through December 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Support, troubleshoot, and provide information to employees and leaders:

  • Answer phone calls and manage inquiries sent by email.
  • Provide information on HR processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Support new hires with onboarding questions, such as pay and benefits.
  • Provide assistance to employees and leaders utilizing our HR system, Oracle.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues for resolution to other teams.

Contribute to the administration and communication of HR programs:

  • Follow up with new employees to ensure onboarding tasks are completed on a timely basis
  • Review and action incoming forms
  • Support benefit administration by enrolling employees and sending information packages
  • Run and distribute reports
  • Maintain employee files and records

Qualifications and Skills

  • Certificate in Human Resources, Management, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Human Resources. Experience in advising others on HR policies and procedures is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking and resourcefulness to troubleshoot and find solutions
  • Customer service focused, using clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills to manage details and timelines in an environment with frequent interruptions and requests from a variety of sources
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and computer skills. Proficiency with Oracle, Excel, and SharePoint is an asset
