Position title: HR Service Associate – People & Culture Local Services

Location: Budapest, HU

Duration: 12 months + possible prolongation (limited position)

Time schedule: 40 hours/week

What you'll bring

You bring curiosity, a genuine interest in HR, and a foundational knowledge of the employee lifecycle and employment documentation.

• Fluency in Hungarian and English (written and spoken) is required
• 1-3 years of business experience in an administrative area, ideally Human Resources management
• A background in business administration or HR — through a business or commercial apprenticeship with HR clerk training, a degree in business administration specialising in Human Resources, or equivalent experience
• Awareness of employment and labour law basics, with a genuine willingness to develop your knowledge of the Hungarian regulatory context
• Accuracy and comfort working within structured processes: able to manage personnel administration tasks carefully and on time, without supervision
• A collaborative and trustworthy approach — building effective working relationships with HR business partners, payroll, works council, and specialist teams, handling sensitive matters with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with openness to applying AI tools in a local HR service delivery environment

We also look for people who build trust naturally, communicate with clarity, keep the customer at the centre of what they do, and bring emotional intelligence and genuine problem-solving ability to the challenges they face.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and driving adoption of AI practices within their teams.

What you'll build

You'll support HR service delivery in Hungary, helping employees and new hires navigate the full employee lifecycle with the guidance of more senior colleagues.

• Handle personnel administration processes: contract supplements, certificates, references, and documentation for leaves and vacations
• Facilitate regular onboarding sessions for new hires — presentations in Hungarian and English, virtually and in person
• Answer employee and manager queries by ticket, email, and phone, and provide consultations on selected HR topics through the People & Culture Lounge (P&C Lounge)
• Support HR business partners, managers, and employees with administrative tasks on labour law matters, including parental leave, part-time arrangements, and termination processes
• Work closely with payroll, works council, personnel officers, and specialist departments across the HR organisation
• Assist with the documentation and maintenance of local HR processes, and contribute to projects and special activities

Where you belong

The P&C Local Services Hungary team is part of the MEE People & Culture Local Services organisation, covering HR services for around 2,000 SAP employees in Hungary — combining local expertise with operational excellence, with AI as a key enabler. You'll develop your HR skills in a structured, team-based environment, working alongside the P&C country head, HR advisors, payroll, and specialist departments, both in person and virtually. This is a genuine starting point in HR with real day-to-day responsibilities and guidance from experienced colleagues from day one.
