The HR Reporting Analyst creates and executes routine and adhoc HR data reporting, ensuring extracts, dashboards, and workforce metrics are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. The role supports recurring hire-to-retire (H2R) reporting cycles, maintains reporting documentation and schedules, and helps uphold consistent data quality across HR systems and reporting sources. This role also supports stakeholder requests for standard data extracts and reporting insights.
A Day in the Life
General
- Create, run and distribute scheduled HR reports according to defined timelines.
- Generate metrics for headcount, workforce movement, and demographic reporting needs.
- Verify data accuracy and consistency across reporting sources before release.
- Utilize Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency, accelerate data analysis, and support development of workforce insights.
- Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI technologies in accordance with company data privacy, security, and governance standards.
- Develop and maintain effective prompts, templates, and standard operating procedures for approved Copilot-enabled reporting and analytics activities.
- Conduct quality checks on HR master data used in reports, dashboards, and standard extracts.
- Respond to reporting inquiries and provide standard data extracts to internal stakeholders as requested.
- Support reconciliation of headcount, turnover, and related workforce figures across reports.
- Track completion of cyclical and compliance reporting deliverables to support on-time reporting execution.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience in HR reporting, workforce analytics, or business intelligence may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Coursework or practical exposure in reporting, analytics, statistics, data management, or HR systems is beneficial.
Work Experience
- Typically, 1-5 years of experience in HR reporting, people analytics, business reporting, or a related data and reporting role; 3-8 years without a degree.
- Experience working with HR data, recurring reporting cycles, dashboards, data quality checks, and cross-system reconciliation in a complex business environment.
Area of Expertise, Requirements
- Design, implement, and maintain automated reporting processes to improve timeliness, accuracy, scalability, and consistency of HR reporting deliverables.
- Monitor automated reporting solutions, investigate failures or exceptions, and perform corrective actions to ensure reliable execution.
- Develop and administer automated data extraction, transformation, validation, and distribution workflows using approved enterprise technologies.
- Update dashboards and refresh data visualizations in reporting tools using approved source data and reporting definitions.
- Maintain reporting documentation, templates, schedules, and version control for recurring deliverables.
- Coordinate with IT and system support teams on user access, report refresh issues, and technical troubleshooting.
- Apply strong data validation practices to identify discrepancies, resolve routine issues, and escalate systemic data problems.
- Work across HR systems and reporting sources to support consistent data definitions and reliable workforce reporting.
- Support routine and ad hoc reporting requests with clear outputs, sound documentation, and appropriate confidentiality controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR reporting processes, tools, and data quality practices across H2R.
Languages: English required. Additional language skills are beneficial.
Other skills
- Understanding data models, table relationships, joins, and data transformation methodologies, with the ability to integrate and prepare data from multiple sources to support accurate reporting, analytics, and automation solutions.
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted productivity and analytics tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data governance, and information security requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency for data extraction, transformation, validation, automation, and workforce analytics reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, preferably including data validation, pivot tables, lookup functions, dynamic arrays, and structured data models.
- Working knowledge of SQL or another data-query language for retrieving, validating, and reconciling HR data.
- Experience with HR systems, business intelligence platforms, and reporting tools; experience with Power BI is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage reporting calendars and documentation
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and restricted workforce data.
- Clear communication when responding to stakeholder reporting requests.
