Community Options is seeking a qualified individual to fill a dual-role position within the Human Resources Department and the Compliance-Training Division. This position encompasses responsibilities in both recruitment and training development, supporting the organization’s mission to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce.


The Recruiter and Training Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of training programs that ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. In addition, this position will focus on recruitment initiatives to attract a diverse and talented pool of candidates through multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, job fairs, and employee referrals.

The hourly wage for this position is $21 - $25 an hour depending on experience (DOE).

Qualifications

Minimum

Qualifications:

  • Requires an associate degree with coursework in Human Resources education or two years of experience in recruiting work. Work experience may substitute for the college coursework requirement on a year for year basis.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities. Preference will be given to incumbents with a Developmental Disability Certification from an accredited institution and/or a current First Aid and CPR Instructor certification.
  • Valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance for the vehicle subject to the statute of the licensing state.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, to include Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), drug screening, and ND Department of Human Service (DHS) pre-employment approval
  • Required to successfully complete assigned training or certification programs

  • Knowledge of adult learning methods, instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Ability to motivate and coach individual staff members
