As an HR & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role within the HR Delivery Team, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, pensions and HR services to a diverse customer base. As an HR & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Delivery Team to meet employer obligations under the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme. Your responsibilities ensure accurate employee payments, meticulous record keeping and exceptional customer service.
Prepare, update and process payroll, pensions and HR data in line with regulations and standards.
Provide first-line support via phone, email and live chat, resolving queries promptly or escalating as needed.
Keep up to date with legislation, employment checks, and contractual requirements to provide compliant advice.
Implement and review office systems and practices, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
Plan and organise your workload to meet deadlines and support multi-disciplinary working.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
Ensure performance targets and service standards are consistently met.
Complete mandatory training and uphold cyber security and data protection responsibilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality in all tasks.
Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Customer-focused approach with problem-solving skills and initiative.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel and Word.
Salary of ££25,948.96 per annum
25 days annual leave, increasing to 27 after four years service
