Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team and play a key role in supporting end-to-end HR operations across Costa Rica and Mexico.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys balancing operational excellence with employee experience, and is motivated by making a meaningful impact every day.

You will partner closely with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality HR services—from onboarding and employee relations to compliance, engagement initiatives, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Prepare and update HR onboarding materials and presentations
  • Manage welcome kit requests with vendors
  • Partner with HR Shared Services to process new hire documentation

Employee Relations (ER)

  • Support employee relations cases, including concerns between employees, managers, or teams
  • Provide guidance, listen actively, and escalate or partner with HR leadership when needed

Engagement & Culture

  • Support and coordinate employee engagement committees across Costa Rica
  • Organize meetings, surveys, communications, and activity logistics
  • Maintain engagement visibility by updating SharePoint and sharing content internally
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives such as #ABetterUs (events, communications, activities, logistics)

HR Operations & Compliance (ISO / Audit Support)

  • Represent HR during ISO external audits
  • Maintain accurate employee documentation and training records
  • Track and report HR KPIs and compliance metrics
  • Ensure all HR processes and documentation meet audit requirements
  • Support quarterly employee satisfaction surveys

Policies & Employee Programs

  • Maintain and update local HR policies (Costa Rica)
  • Administer programs such as:
    • On-call processes (documentation, approvals, payroll reporting)
    • Winter policy tracking and approvals
    • Life & health insurance support
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries

HR Systems & Communications

  • Maintain HR SharePoint sites (Costa Rica & Mexico)
  • Create and manage HR communications (including quarterly HR magazine)
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information sharing

Offboarding & Feedback

  • Coordinate exit interviews and documentation
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Manage HR office supplies and assets
  • Support events such as student visits and talent initiatives
  • Coordinate vendors, materials, and logistics for HR-led programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, administrative, or HR operations roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
