HR Ops Intern (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Aspire Allergy & Sinus is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented People Team Intern to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. This temporary internship is designed for candidates looking to build a foundation in HR Ops while helping us cultivate an exceptional employee experience.
In this role, you won't just be doing busywork. You will actively assist with the day-to-day operations of our People Team. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at the entire employee lifecycle, providing administrative and operational support from recruiting coordination to onboarding and employee engagement. This position helps ensure our team members are equipped, engaged, and empowered to succeed while contributing to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

We offer a flexible schedule that can accommodate class schedules and other commitments, provided hours are worked during our standard business hours. We are open to both part-time and full-time interns; however, candidates must be able to commit to a consistent, predetermined weekly schedule that meets the needs of the business. Flexible scheduling does not permit varying work hours from week to week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work 25+ hours per week
- Commitment to a minimum 12-week internship program
- Availability to work onsite at our Austin headquarters
- Interest in gaining hands-on experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition
Key Responsibilities

- Assist with recruitment as needed, under supervision of the HR Generalist. Tasks may include updating job descriptions, drafting job ads, vetting resumes, sending out assessments, conducting reference checks & drafting offer letters.
- Coordinate the new hire onboarding process including:
- Pre-boarding tasks and communication with incoming employees
- Add to all necessary systems
- Send and track new hire surveys
- Prepare and send out new hire bags and anniversary gifts
- Assist with responding to basic employee inquiries, routing more complex issues to the HR Generalist or HR Leadership team.
- Assist with maintaining employee files, upkeep and administration
- Administrative tasks for employee terminations (removing from systems, communication, etc.)
- Administrative tasks for employee changes (drafting paperwork, updating systems, communication, etc.)
- Tracking course completion in the LMS to ensure compliance. Send regular reminders to staff and escalate to leadership as appropriate.
- Assist with maintaining all People systems & software including but not limited to: Paylocity (HRIS), WorkTango (Recognition platform), Lessonly (LMS), Daily Drop (company intranet), Pingboard (Org Chart) and Pinpoint (ATS)
- Collaborate with the HR team to support new and existing HR and recruiting initiatives
- All other duties, tasks and projects as assigned

Required education and experience
- Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week internship program
- Proficiency with Google suite and Microsoft Office products, particularly excel
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Obtained or currently pursuing a degree in HR, Organization Development, Business Admin or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Preferred education and experience
- Obtained or currently pursuing a degree in HR, Organization Development, Business Admin or related field
- Familiarity with HR compliance, processes, and tools
- 1+ years of work experience in customer service, healthcare, or related field
