HR Operations Team Manager – Switzerland, Germany and Poland

(temporary contract for maternity leave cover for 1 year)

Location: Lausanne

As HR Operations Manager – DACH & Poland, you will lead the delivery of high-quality HR operations across the assigned countries, with strong focus on Switzerland payroll and administration management, ensuring effective, compliant and employee-focused execution of core HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR Operations team supporting the Head Office in Switzerland, on top of Germany and Poland, ensuring clear priorities, effective workload management and continued development of team capabilities.

  • Lead and coordinate payroll operations in the area, with a strong focus on Switzerland, working closely with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll inputs, approvals and payments.

  • Oversee the delivery of end-to-end HR administration across the assigned countries, including employment contracts, employee lifecycle transactions, benefits administration, immigration, time management, leaves of absence and related HR processes.

  • Coordinate statutory and employee documentation requirements, including salary certificates, share-related documentation, employment certificates and other locally required documents.

  • Support the execution of global Total Rewards processes, including Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIP), Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP) and other compensation-related programs within the relevant countries.

  • Own and oversee HR case management, ensuring employee and business requests are handled accurately and efficiently, with appropriate escalation and resolution of complex cases.

  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners to provide responsive, high-quality support to employees and managers, including a tailored and white-glove service where appropriate.

  • Manage relationships with external service providers partners, ensuring consistent service delivery, appropriate governance and timely resolution of operational issues.

What You Bring

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Previous 7-10 years experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, People Services or HR Administration, matured in Switzerland, with deep knowledge of Swiss payroll and admin regulations and requirements

  • Solid knowledge of payroll management and vendor coordination, with the ability to oversee payroll inputs, controls, approvals and issue resolution.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including contracts, employee administration, benefits, time and absence management, payroll and employee documentation.

  • Experience working with Workday and case-management systems, with a strong focus on data quality, process discipline and effective use of HR technology.

  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build effective relationships with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, Finance, Payroll, external vendors and other internal and external partners.

  • High level of accuracy, discretion and attention to detail when dealing with sensitive employee and business information.

  • Fluent English is required. Knowledge of German and/or Polish would be a strong advantage.
