HR Operations Supervisor – CE Events

The Continuing Education (CE) Human Resources (HR) Operations Supervisor – CE Events (CEE) is assigned to oversee the HR activities of the CE Events Programs, with responsibilities for training, mentoring, and supervising Operations Specialists in relation to the execution of common HR processes and the resolution of common inquiries. This position will also handle escalated issues and ensure high-quality service delivery. He or she is an integrated member of the CE HR leadership and management team and supports an agile, proactive, and responsive presence within the market by informing and advising on HR matters for the CE Events Programs.

What you’ll do in this position:

HR Operations Lead for the CE Events Programs

  • Oversee and supervise CE HR Operations Center processes, staff, escalated inquiries, compliance, and daily operations.

  • Support hiring, training, reporting, process and policy improvements, Workday expertise, and communication of program or policy changes.

Member of CE Events hiring management team(s)

  • Serve as HR subject matter expert for hiring, payroll, compliance, strategy, and stakeholder support for FLSA-exempt contract employees.

  • Design, configure, document, and manage hiring/payroll solutions, contracts, payroll processing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Coordinate out-of-state payroll processing and compliance for CE Events segment

  • Identify out-of-state program operations and determine withholding and reporting requirements.

  • Coordinate with general counsel, OSAC, and Payroll Office to ensure compliant payroll setup and processing.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 3 years of professional experience including human resources, payroll processing and reconciliation, accounting, or related bookkeeping functions OR relevant combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree.

  • SHRM certification.

  • 5 years of professional experience including payroll processing and reconciliation, accounting, or related bookkeeping functions.

  • Familiarity with university operations, such as hiring, payroll, and part-time employee contracting.

  • Previous training with data entry and university ERP system for HR/payroll.

Pay Grade: 51

Typical Starting Pay: $59,000 - $75,500

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with significant related experience may receive an offer higher than the typical posted range.
