Job Description

New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community.

New Horizons is looking for an HR Operations & Compliance Specialist who will support the Human Resources department through employee compliance tracking, records management, training coordination, recruiting support, employee engagement initiatives, and community outreach. This role helps ensure employee records, training requirements, and compliance activities are organized, audit-ready, and aligned with organizational standards.

As a HR Operations & Compliance Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support recruiting efforts, including job fairs, candidate communication, onboarding events, and workforce partnerships.
  • Assist with social media content, recruiting campaigns, and employer branding efforts.
  • Represent Human Resources at community events, recruitment activities, and organizational functions.
  • Support fundraising activities, volunteer events, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

Education

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing,
  • Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Experience

  • One (1) year of relevant work experience preferred in Human Resources, Recruiting,
  • Marketing, Administrative Support, Business Operations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Internship experience in HR, marketing, communications, or business operations is welcomed and valued.
  • Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or service-based organizations is a plus
