Job Description

Our client, a well-established Corporate Service Provider based in Malta, is looking for an HR Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be the main point of contact for HR-related queries and matters.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €28K plus performance bonus.

Please note: only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle

• Process work permit applications

• Manage onboarding for new employees

• Oversee employee engagement and termination processes

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date HR records and employee files

• Develop and draft HR policies and procedures

• Submit employee information to the relevant authorities and departments

• Liaise with the payroll team to ensure timely updates

• Coordinate performance appraisals and support managers with KPIs

• Conduct training needs analysis and coordinate internal and external training

• Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness activities, and team events

• Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics

• Assist the Head of HR with employee complaints and conflict resolution

Education, Skills & Experience

• A-Level standard of education or equivalent

• 1+ year of experience in a similar HR role in Malta

• Good understanding of Maltese employment law, with experience liaising with local entities

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Keen eye for detail and ability to work independently

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in MS Office Suite
