Job Description

Aperam is a global producer of stainless, electrical and specialty steel in over 40 countries. Aperam has 2.5 million tonnes of flat Stainless and Electrical steel capacity in Brazil and Europe and is a leader in high value specialty products.

Aperam is looking for a talented HR Manager to handle the HR activities for its Headquarter based in Luxembourg city.

Aperam’s corporate HQ employs around 100 people covering a wide variety of areas: Corporate Finance, Corporate HR, IT, Purchasing, Sourcing, Legal, Strategy. Aperam’s CEO, CFO and CHRO are also located here. Although the role has a very important operational part that requires a strong hands-on and autonomous approach, it also offers exposure to the company’s key decision-takers and visibility on the company’s strategic decisions.

The HR Manager Luxembourg HQ will report to the Global Head of HR for Aperam’s Support Organisations and will be part of a larger international HR team. The role offers growth potential through the opportunities to contribute to international HR projects or to take on opportunities in other countries in the longer run.

Your role

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations for the full employee lifecycle
  • Manage local employee communications, ensure a good working atmosphere, work with the outcome of the employee engagement surveys
  • Proactively deal with attrition risks of critical resources
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees and advise managers on HR-related matters
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Coordinate payroll with the external provider
    • Prepare and review compensation packages
    • Administration and follow up of the local benefits (pension plan, health insurance, meal vouchers)
  • Draft and manage employment contracts and HR documents, in compliance with Luxembourg labor law
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in our HR databases
  • Ensure continuous compliance with local and EU labor regulations
  • Deploy the global HR processes and programs in collaboration with HRBPs and HR Centers of Excellence: annual Performance and salary reviews, total reward statements
  • CSRD reporting
  • Organizing and moderating townhall sessions
  • Managing HR system (myHR, protime, SD worx)
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Supervising the office management activities

Your profile

  • Previous experience in a similar HR role, ideally within an industrial environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of the Luxembourg Labour Law
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to work in diverse environments
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Pragmatic and results-oriented approach
  • Fluency in French and English
