The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.
Provide professional guidance and solutions in human resources management to support business goals. This role focuses on optimizing key HR functions like recruitment, performance management, training, talent development, employee relations, and compliance. Enhancing organizational efficiency, aligns HR processes with business strategies, and drives employee engagement through expert insights and best practices.
1. HR Strategy Planning:
o Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and refine HR strategies for the plant, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
o Provide recommendations on organizational structure optimization, talent management, and corporate culture enhancement.
2. Recruitment and Talent Management:
o Assist in enhancing recruitment processes to attract top talent.
o Develop talent strategies based on business needs, including succession planning and employee retention strategies.
3. Performance Management and C&B:
o Optimize performance assessment processes.
o Provide recommendations on compensation structures.
4. Employee Relations and Policy Compliance:
o Deal with / offer consulting on employee relations issues, such as labor disputes and conflict management.
o Ensure HR policies comply with local labor laws and corporate standards.
5. Training and Development:
o Conduct training needs analysis, develop training plans, and evaluate training effectiveness.
o Provide leadership development recommendations to support employee career growth.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze HR data (e.g., turnover rates, performance metrics) to support decision-making.
o Deliver regular reports to measure the effectiveness of HR solutions.
7. Other work assigned by department manager
• Bachelor’s degree or above and majored in Human Resources
• Above 5 years relevant working experience in HR related area
• Experience in Multi-national company is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with individuals at all levels.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

US Salaried:
The range for this position is ¥30,605.00 - ¥42,082.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
US Union Free Hourly:
The range for this position is ¥30,605.00 hourly rate - ¥38,256.00 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
US Union Hourly:
The starting pay for this position is ¥30,605.00 hourly rate. Compensation and benefits available for this position are dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
US Intern:
The range for this position is ¥30,605.00 - ¥42,082.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
