Summary

This role provides foundational human resources support within a manufacturing or corporate environment, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and efficient HR service. The position partners with HR team members and people leaders to support employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR operations, and engagement initiatives. The role combines administrative excellence with developing HR advisory capability and is designed to build strong capability across core HR disciplines in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing timely and accurate guidance to employees and managers.
  • Support HR Business Partners and HR team members in delivering people strategy and day-to-day HR activities.
  • Support, review and management of absenteeism, RTW and occupational health process
  • Administration support with preparation of various contracts of employment, offer letters, amendments letters, bonus and HR correspondence.
  • Support with various types of leave (statutory & company) to ensure compliance and adherence to policy
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in line with GDPR and company policy
  • Support & Administer employee benefits programs and support related processes (e.g., pension, health benefits, wellness initiatives).
  • Partner with payroll by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee data including attendance, absence, and compensation-related inputs.
  • Assist in employee relations processes, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Support learning and development and performance management processes.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, communications, and events.
  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, data privacy requirements, and internal policies.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Deliver accurate and timely HR administrative and operational support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data with integrity and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and data protection requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, payroll, and business leaders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Utilize HR systems and digital tools to maintain records, generate reports, and support decision-making.

Education and Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in HR, administration, or data management (including internships or placements for early career roles) an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work across multiple HR systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Work Preferences

  • Experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, or HR operations processes.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, data reporting, or analytics.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and interest in Lean principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
