About the Role

As a Human Resource Generalist, you will provide comprehensive human resources support in a growing office environment, including onboarding, compliance administration, employee relations, recordkeeping, and day-to-day HR operations. This position plays a key role in supporting HR and business operations by ensuring a positive employee experience and maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong organizational skills, and demonstrates a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional employee support. This individual will be comfortable managing multiple priorities while serving as a trusted resource for applicants, new hires, and employees.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and execute the full onboarding process for newly hired employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and new hires throughout the onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate and monitor pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, and employment documentation.
  • Support new hire orientation programs and introduce employees to company policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace expectations.
  • Process and audit I-9 forms, employment records, background screening results, and onboarding documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready personnel files while safeguarding confidential employee information.
  • Provide front-line HR support regarding onboarding processes, employment documentation, company policies, and general HR inquiries.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and proactively follow up on outstanding requirements to ensure successful employee start dates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, onboarding, recruiting, administrative support, customer service, or a professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of I-9 documentation requirements, background screening processes, and HR compliance standards.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to successfully pass background and reference checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, recruiting, or HR operations.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or high-volume hiring environment.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the security services industry or similar service-based organizations.

Compensation Information

Pay Range: $15.00 - $15.50 hourly

Actual compensation is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, work location, applicable laws, and business needs.
