HR Generalist - Nordics

Are you passionate about creating a great employee experience and working hands-on across a broad range of HR topics? Then this HR Generalist role within our Nordic organization could be the right next step for you.

As HR Generalist for our Nordics region, you will be part of the People Services Organisation and support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in delivering tactical HR services, supporting employee relations, and ensuring effective local execution of global HR initiatives.

The role requires a strong on-site presence, working at least 3 days per week, spending time at our office at Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) and Lysaker office

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first-line HR support for employee and manager queries via ticketing system and in person.
  • Provide operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, beyond Manager Self Service.
  • Advise and coach managers on employee relations, performance, absence management, and sensitive HR matters.
  • Act as subject matter expert on employee relations, including union-related topics.
  • Support and lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and action planning.
  • Deliver local execution of global HR processes (Performance Management, Development, Succession).
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and global HR teams.
  • Ensure timely processing of pay-related information and high-quality data in Workday.
  • Identify service improvements and support continuous improvement within People Services.

About the Team

Vanderlande is the global market leader in logistic process automation for airports and parcel markets. You will join the People Services Organisation, working closely with local and global HR colleagues to support a strong people and culture agenda across the Nordic region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a broad HR Generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of Nordic employment legislation (Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Finland).
  • Union experience is essential.
  • Proven experience in employee relations and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working in a matrix and international environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Workday experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English & Norwegian
  • Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days per week at Oslo Airport (Gardermoen).
