As an HR Generalist in Employment, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers.

As an HR Generalist, you will assist in ensuring a smooth and efficient Manufacturing operation by providing employment support for Hourly Bargaining Unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies
  • Manage the day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc.
  • Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce
  • Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology
  • Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements

Key experiences and know-how:

The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:

  • Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experience
  • Utilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development
  • Analyze and utilize data to make decisions
  • Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Able to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goals
  • Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
