We’re hiring a HR Generalist at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

To assist with the daily duties of running the HR Department. May be asked to help with termination paperwork, FMLA, Workman’s Compensation, Benefits Administration, Appraisals, exit interviews and other duties. Ensures positive employee relations with the company’s HR department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Address employee requests and facilitate HR customer service functions.
• Manage termination logistics, including system processing, paperwork, and benefit coordination.
• Support the implementation of company-wide HR processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Maintain employee files, including terminations, LOAs, and appraisals.
• Advise managers on terminations, leaves of absence, and Workers' Compensation claims.
• Coordinate onboarding tasks, including I-9 processing, background checks, and HRIS enrollment.
• Oversee new hire logistics, including equipment ordering, email setup, and policy communications.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
• Physical Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and great follow-through.
• Working understanding of Human Resources principles, procedures, and problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to function well and calmly tackle challenges in a high-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Proficient in Google Suite (Email, Sheets, etc.) with the ability to use spreadsheets with ease.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of prior HR experience
• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing
• Working in front of a computer 7+ hours/day
