Human Resources Generalist

Job Overview

We are a growing multi-unit restaurant organization seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support our team and continued expansion.

This role will partner closely with operations and leadership to manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR administration while helping build consistent people practices across all locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Support employee relations, coaching, corrective actions, investigations, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support benefits, workers' compensation, leave administration, payroll, and timekeeping matters.
• Partner with Operations on staffing needs and employee performance.
• Assist with performance reviews, training, and leadership development.
• Support HR needs for new restaurant openings.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
• Track staffing, turnover, and other key workforce information.

Qualifications

• Previous HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar experience.
• Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS/payroll systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization.
• Ability to travel between locations as needed.
