The Position

Arevon is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to own payroll processing in Paylocity and support employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, employee changes, transitions, offboarding, HRIS data management, and general HR administration. This role requires strong payroll processing experience, hands-on Paylocity knowledge, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams in a growing, multi-state environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on Paylocity experience and 5–10 years of payroll processing experience, including payroll preparation, payroll data review, employee changes, reporting, and offboarding activities. Immigration experience is strongly preferred.

This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Own payroll processing in Paylocity, including payroll preparation, payroll data review, employee changes, time and attendance coordination, deductions, reimbursements, reporting, and follow-up on payroll-related issues.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity, including new hire information, personnel changes, job and compensation updates, manager changes, terminations, and other employee lifecycle transactions.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including Paylocity workflows, background checks, I-9 documentation, E-Verify processing, exit documentation, final pay coordination, and related employee communications.
• Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and department leaders on employee transitions, payroll-impacting changes, system access updates, and timely completion of related HR tasks.
• Provide general HR administrative support, including maintaining electronic files, preparing employment letters, supporting audits, assisting with HR reporting, and responding to routine employee questions.
• Support benefits administration, HRIS workflow improvements, process documentation, and compliance-related recordkeeping.
• Support immigration administration, including tracking key dates, maintaining documentation, and coordinating employee communications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a multi-state organization.
• Hands-on Paylocity experience required, including payroll processing, employee data changes, onboarding workflows, reporting, and HRIS administration.
• 5–10 years of payroll processing experience, including payroll preparation, payroll review, wage and hour considerations, time and attendance, and payroll-related employee data requirements.
• Experience managing onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, I-9 documentation, E-Verify processing, and employee lifecycle administration.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism when handling confidential employee information.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with employees and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B, PERM, green card, or similar matters.
• Experience in an internal HR environment supporting payroll, benefits, employee records, and HR compliance without reliance on a PEO.
• Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar is a plus.
