Argenta is currently looking to fill the role of HR Generalist at our Shawnee, KS location.This role provides broad HR support across all team members at our Shawnee KS location. You will resolve employee requests, advise leaders on day-to-day people matters, and use sound judgment to navigate moderately complex situations. The ideal candidate is a versatile, proactive HR professional who builds trust through accurate, timely support and continuously looks for ways to improve how HR serves the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



HR Consultation & Team Member Support

  • Provide responsive, consistent HR guidance to Team Members and leaders at the Shawnee facility.
  • Interpret HR policies, practices, and employment standards and apply them effectively to routine and moderately complex situations.
  • Assess Team Member concerns, gather relevant facts, identify risk, and determine appropriate next steps, or escalation.
  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders by providing practical guidance on day-to-day Team Member matters, conflict resolution, and people management practices.
  • Support leave and accommodation, relocation, immigration, contingent workforce, licensing, and other specialized HR processes in partnership with the appropriate teams.

Team Member Relations & Performance Management

  • Conduct structured intake conversations and workplace fact-finding; document information objectively and develop well-reasoned findings and recommendations.
  • Advise leaders on performance concerns, policy violations, disciplinary actions, while balancing policy, precedent, business context, and risk.
  • Coach leaders to address performance and workplace concerns.

Workforce Insights, Talent & Engagement

  • Analyze Team Member data, feedback, and operational trends to identify patterns, workforce implications, and opportunities for proactive support.
  • Support talent and performance processes, including administrative support, facilitation of discussions, documentation and follow up with people leaders.
  • Maintain accurate people reports and translate relevant trends into clear, actionable insights for HR partners and leaders.

HR Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems and ensure case records, repositories, job aids, and standard operating procedures are current and accurate.
  • Manage a high-volume workload with strong prioritization, responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Administer onboarding, benefit, payroll, training and development, and compensation programming
  • Complete routine payroll and timekeeping. Answer payroll and benefit related questions
  • Manage data and processes in relation to new hires, terminations, and employee changes in multiple systems for payroll, benefits, accounting, etc.




About You:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive core human resources experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and core HR processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret workforce data, identify meaningful trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
  • Strong ownership, prioritization, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive personal and business information.
  • Preferred qualifications - Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, HR experience in a manufacturing environment, SHRM certification.
