Job Description

The HR Generalist you will be responsible forcarrying outtactical and strategic endeavors including onboarding,employee relations,wage garnishments,unemployment claims, earnings verification,recruitment,documentationand streamlining,reporting and record-keeping,andensuringthat Autocarcomplieson all aspects of employment law.You will work closely with theHuman Resources teamand the talent acquisition teamand will be assigned other tasks and projects as needed.Our Human Resources team is vital to the success of Autocarand our employees and as an ambassador of the company you will be expected to represent both the best interests of the company and our employees.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum3years ofHuman Resources generalist experience (experience in a manufacturing organization with a mix of hourly and salaried employeesa plus).
  • Experience with a union workforce
  • PHR Certification a plus but not required.

Skills:

  • Experience supportinga workforce comprised of exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and practices.
  • Provenproblem-solvingabilities.
  • Resilient, creative,and flexible nature.
  • Capacity to multi-task, prioritizeandcompletework in a fast paced, often-changing environment.
  • Customer service and ambassador mindset.

Work Environment Ex. Office setting and plant environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment which may include dust mask,safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
  • Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
  • While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
