Lead HR inside the business, not from the sidelines.

Most HR Director roles hand you a process to administer. This one hands you four business units, a direct line to the COOs running them, full ownership of employee relations, and a team you get to build from scratch.

Delavan Holdings is the parent company behind Kunes Auto, Kunes RV, Ignition Dealer Services, Lake Lawn Resort, G10 Fulfillment, and Camp Timber Lee. We need an HR leader who wants to be in the dealerships, at the locations, and in the room where decisions get made.

What You'll Own

You'll serve as the primary HR strategic partner to the COOs leading Kunes Auto, Kunes RV, Ignition Dealer Services, and the Delavan Holdings Support Center — over 2,400 team members across 60 locations.

Strategic Partnership & Team Leadership

• Partner directly with the COO of each business unit you support as their go-to HR strategist.
• Build and lead a team of 2 HR Generalists — with the flexibility to structure that team the way that works best for your business units.
• Partner with the HR Directors supporting Lake Lawn Resort, G10 Fulfillment, and Camp Timber Lee to keep HR practice consistent across Delavan Holdings.
• Drive culture forward in a values-driven, faith-informed organization.
• Support acquisition activity as the business units grow, including the integration of new locations and teams.
• Identify and lead projects that make HR more efficient across the business.
• Travel regularly across the 60 supported locations to stay close to the business and the people in it.

Employee Relations — This Team Owns It End to End

Employee relations strategy and execution for your business units belongs to you and your team. Shared Services does not build or run this process.

• Set the employee relations strategy for the business units you support.
• Handle, investigate, and resolve employee relations situations directly.
• Lead employee relations projects — from policy application to process improvement — specific to your business units.

Enterprise HR Programs — Delivered With Shared Services

For performance management, talent succession, and engagement, HR Shared Services builds the timeline, the process, and presents the findings. You and your team apply it and turn the results into action.

• Execute the performance appraisal process within your business units using the timeline and tools Shared Services builds.
• Complete talent succession assessments using the process Shared Services provides.
• Review people metrics and findings from Shared Services and tie them back to organizational performance for the leaders you support.
• Turn engagement survey results into effective, business-specific action plans.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

• Your COOs view HR as a driver of business results — not a support function they work around.
• Employee relations issues are handled thoroughly, fairly, and on time.
• Performance, succession, and engagement processes run on schedule and produce data leaders actually use.
• Your HR Generalist team is built, developed, and delivering real value.
• HR practice across all four business units stays aligned with the enterprise standard set by Shared Services.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Multi-unit HR experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Director supporting multiple business units or a large, complex workforce.
• Employee relations depth — trained and experienced in conducting investigations and driving them to resolution.
• Executive presence — comfortable working with leaders at every level, from frontline supervisors to COOs.
• Data literacy — able to interpret HR metrics and connect them to business performance.
• A hands-on leadership style with a genuine interest in the day-to-day of the business.
• Willing and able to travel regularly to locations across the organization.
• Alignment with our values of caring, inquisitiveness, innovation, curiosity, and inclusion of opinions.

Nice to have: Experience supporting acquisitions or business integration.
