Job Description
The Manager, HR Digital and User Experience is responsible for shaping and delivering a simple, intuitive, and effective digital experience for Teammates, managers, and HR partners. This role leads the design, optimization, and governance of HR digital products and journeys—ensuring HR technology is human‑centered, data‑enabled, and aligned with business strategy.
Position Accountabilities
HR Digital Strategy & Product Ownership
- Own the HR digital experience roadmap, aligning HR technology capabilities with business and people strategy.
- Serve as product owner for key HR platforms (e.g., HCM, talent, learning, case management), prioritizing enhancements based on user needs and business impact.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, IT, and vendors to deliver new features, integrations, and system improvements.
- Establish standards for HR digital design, usability, accessibility, and content governance.
- Stay current on emerging technologies to ensure HR Technology remains relevant and impactful from a user experience perspective.
User Experience & Journey Design
- Lead end‑to‑end design of employee and manager journeys across hire‑to‑retire experiences.
- Apply user‑centered design, design thinking, and journey mapping methodologies to identify pain points and improve usability.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights (e.g., user research, analytics, feedback) to guide continuous improvement.
- Ensure digital experiences are consistent, inclusive, and intuitive across platforms and devices.
Adoption, Change & Enablement
- Drive adoption of HR digital tools through effective change management, communications, and training.
- Partner with HR operations and change teams to simplify processes and reduce employee effort.
- Measure and improve adoption, satisfaction, and self‑service effectiveness.
- Consult on UX standards, guidelines, measures, best practices, and design approaches to ensure adoption, utilization, and continuity.
Governance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track success metrics such as user experience scores, completion rates, case volumes, and system usage.
- Ensure HR digital solutions comply with data privacy, security, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously evaluate emerging HR technology and UX best practices to inform future enhancements.
- Identify and track key metrics and data to evaluate the utilization and adoption of technology solutions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR digital, UX, or product professionals (directly or through matrixed teams).
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on digital experience and platform capabilities.
- Foster strong partnerships with IT, Talent Development, HR Technology, vendors, and other internal and external partners.

This position reports to the Head of HR Systems & Delivery
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Instructional Design, Business, User Experience, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in HR technology, digital product management, UX, Learning Systems, or HR transformation roles.
- Banking and financial service experience preferred
- Hands‑on experience with HR platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, Oracle, SAP)
- Hands-on experience with Learning system platforms and tools (Cornerstone LMS/LXP, Walk Me)
- Demonstrated expertise in user‑centered design, journey mapping, and digital experience optimization.
- Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience leading or supporting large‑scale HR or enterprise system implementations.
- Instructional design and training development consulting experience
- Experience with team collaboration tools (Miro, JIRA, MS Teams, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile or product‑based delivery models.
- Familiarity with service blueprint methodologies.
- Experience managing vendors or system integrators.
- UX, product management, or change management certifications.
- Advisory capability: communication and influence capabilities across a variety of audiences ranging from new-to-the-workforce to C-suite executives
- Ability to both lead and support – able to lead a team, coordinate a project or drive execution.
- Comfortable with shifting priorities; flexible and easily adapt to changing business needs
- Experience in authoring and developing modern, digital learning pathways and blended learning approaches
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Vyond, Canva, Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
- Design thinking background: data-driven, learner-centered researcher; concept prototyping; test and iterate design; define and analyze metrics; apply insights to improve programs and products
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Th is position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
