To support this mission, Syngenta’s HR Digital Team is seeking a HR Digital Lead Developer - Integrationsin Pune.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to elicit, confirm, and document requirements; evaluate design alternatives aligned with the Project Portfolio and Change Request processes.
  • Deliver end-to-end Workday integration solutions from requirements and functional/technical specifications through analysis, design, configuration/build, testing, cutover, and production deployment.
  • Design and build integrations using Workday tools and frameworks (e.g., PECI, Core Connector, EIB, Workday Studio, Orchestration, APIs).
  • Define and maintain interface specifications including field mappings, data transformations, and process designs aligned to master/target system dependencies.
  • Assess and communicate the technical impact and trade-offs of configuration and design decisions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation to support implementation and ongoing maintenance; provide knowledge transfer to Integration Support resources.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to execute unit testing, system testing, UAT, and support regression testing activities.
  • Enable stakeholders by sharing knowledge and guidance on developing and operating interfaces to/from SaaS platforms.
  • Support project delivery by ensuring integration risks, issues, and interdependencies are identified and tracked with the Project Manager.
  • Participate in Workday release reviews, identifying impacts, enhancement opportunities, and required regression testing.
  • Perform change request impact assessments and contribute to implementation planning.
  • Provide production support including ticket management, triage, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve data conversion issues through detailed analysis and remediation.
  • Support team capability by coaching/mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Workday integrations and/or integration delivery for HR/Payroll SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Integrations, including Workday Studio, Orchestration, APIs, and related configuration (typically 5–6 years active configuration experience).
  • Working knowledge of PECI , Core Connector, and EIB.
  • Proficiency with web services and integration/security technologies such as REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, PGP, and SAML.
  • Experience producing requirements, functional/technical specifications, interface designs, and field mappings.
  • Experience supporting testing cycles (unit/system/UAT) and release/regression testing.
  • Experience with change request and ticketing processes/tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to engage effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, integrity, and ability to build effective working relationships across levels.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday release analysis, impact assessment, and recommendations.
  • Experience with BIRT reporting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to enable others through knowledge transfer, documentation, and stakeholder education.
  • Proven ability to learn independently using resources such as Workday Community and translate research into delivery improvements.
