In Canada, HSBC Global Services (Canada) Limited (HGCA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Global Services Limited. Operating in Toronto and Vancouver, HGCA is part of a global service company, delivering services to support the operating entities of HSBC Group. We have different capabilities that provide tools and processes to facilitate the functions, business, and entities with their service management responsibilities. 

This HR Delivery Services Partner role is to support the effective execution of people agenda for designated business, to enable business performance. The incumbent is to be involved with aspects of HR, which may include Employee Relations, Recruitment, Compensation and Learning and Development. The exact nature may vary depending on geographical remit. This role will be located within the HR function, reporting to a Senior HR Generalist or more Senior HR role.

Tasks and responsibilities of the job holder may include the following:

• HR service delivery (onshore delivery services) supporting local People function activity across People Planning & Strategy, Talent, Recruitment, Performance & Reward, Employee Relations, Learning, Benefits, and audit support—ensuring service is delivered to agreed standards and timelines.
• HR case management and query resolution, including day-to-day management of the HR phone line, the HR case management system, and the shared HR mailbox, ensuring responses are monitored and handled daily, escalations are managed, and service quality is continuously improved.
• Employee lifecycle support and administration, including preparation, coordination, and maintenance of documentation for hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, work permits, and other colleague changes; meeting with employees where needed to ensure required forms are completed, signed, returned, and appropriately filed.
• Recruitment administration support, including external posting and closing employment advertisements, and maintaining appropriate employment documentation in line with retention rules.
• HR content owner responsibilities, including owning, writing and maintaining local HR Direct content/knowledge articles (and associated announcements/banners where applicable), ensuring content is accurate, recertified within required timeframes, aligned to Group standards, and improved based on colleague feedback and change impacts.
• Document and records management ownership, maintaining effective control of HR electronic and paper records, including being accountable for document retention compliance and ensuring records are managed in line with global/local retention schedules and local privacy legislation requirements.
• Local procedures and process ownership, ensuring local HR procedures are defined, documented, reviewed at least annually, kept up to date when policy/FIM/regulatory requirements change, and remain fit for purpose—while identifying opportunities to simplify and improve workflow.
• Local eLeave/eTime system administration and governance, maintaining colleague/approver set-up, public holidays and leave entitlements; performing reporting and payroll validations; and producing required monthly/quarterly/annual reporting in line with local governance.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Role relevant qualifications, i.e.HR related qualification, is desirable but not essential
• A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to colleagues and people managers
• Excellent organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle a demanding and diverse workload
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
• Basic knowledge of Bermuda Personal Information Privacy Act (PIPA) and Bermuda Employment Act

A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
