As the HR Manager, The Netherlands you will lead the implementation within your client group of the global human resources strategy that aligns with the Company’s business vision and objectives. Furthermore, you provide HR management advice and expertise in order to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of human resources in achieving business success.

This position is based at our European HQ in Rotterdam and will lead a team of 6 HRBP’s and the Team Lead HR Operations.

A Day in the Life

You will be the direct Business Partner to the senior leaders in The Netherlands and will work closely with the leadership teams of all of your client groups within The Netherlands. Plus you will support all levels of leadership focusing on various Human Resources areas such as employee relations, talent development, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and general HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing a strong HR Operations team to support the HR Business Partners and the clients they support, including ensuring the appropriate team structure, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and adequate training on systems, policies and procedures;
• Defines and drives the labor relations strategy within The Netherlands;
• In partnership with appropriate stakeholders, monitor, make proposals, obtain consensus and implement necessary pension changes;
• Ensure on time and accurate delivery of compensation by managing payroll teams;
• Compliance with labor and employment laws;
• In collaboration with ER/LR Center of Excellence, conducts investigations into complaints of violations of Code of Conduct and human resources policies, and provides written investigation reports to Legal and Compliance;
• Build a “One HR” mentality integrated into the global HR team, ensuring everyone works together as a team and the The Netherlands HR team does not work in a silo;
• Serve as a senior advisor, counsel, and confidante to the leaders and their respective organizations;
• Through team, he/she will be responsible for shaping and driving strategic human resources activities to develop high-value capabilities across the business and geographies;
• Work closely with the appropriate HR Directors on key initiatives that will drive operational efficiency, improve overall quality and take cost out of the operations;
• Lead a comprehensive talent management and leadership development strategy, including the identification of high potential talent and evaluation. This includes identifying leadership gaps and devising appropriate development plans and succession;
• Develop a strong recruiting and workforce planning strategy to stay ahead of attrition;
• Understand the KPIs and remove barriers;
• Provide HR support for the designated client groups to assist in the achievement of business goals and objectives, providing partnership with internal client leadership at all levels;
• Acts as a trusted advisor to management, ensuring the establishment of sound management practices, aligned with HR policy procedure and practices, and consistent decision-making processes across the lines of business;
• Actively participate in and lead cross-business, cross-geography, and/or company-wide HR work streams such as succession planning, talent reviews, change management, training and development, etc;
• Partner with leaders in the development and implementation of organizational structure changes, including identifying impact and assisting in the communication as needed;
• Proactively manage, directly or through local HR partners, employee relations issues and take appropriate action to mitigate risks;
• Develop and manage the HR budget;
• Participate on HR teams and special projects as requested.

You Bring This Value

• University degree with a preference in Business Administration or Human Resources Management. Graduate degree preferred;
• Requires 10-15+ years of experience in Human Resources in a large, employee intensive business/division; ideally having experience with a globally dispersed workforce and experience working on international HR issues;
• Experience leading a team of HR professionals;
• Must have solid understanding of Dutch works council requirements and collective agreements and experience leading negotiations with staff representatives;
• Highly developed influencing and communication skills, combined with the stature and experience to effectively represent the Company before a variety of audiences;
• Possess functional expertise in talent management, organization design, change management, employee relations, recruiting and staffing, training , and leadership/management development, including succession planning;
• Be familiar with HR best practices including change, motivation, and employee development. He/she will have change management experience within a highly result-oriented environment;
• Have the analytical skills to effectively analyze data, draw appropriate conclusions, and provide useful and insightful recommendations;
• Good judgment and deals with ambiguity well; can operate in an environment without a lot of structure;
• Professional fluency in both English and Dutch.

The anticipated salary range for this full-time position is €120,400.00 - €165,550.00. The starting compensation will be determined based on skills, experience and qualifications.
