HR Coordinator

Office hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator or generalist with strong payroll experience to join our team. This role supports a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and benefits administration, while also accurately and on time managing and processing payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Functions:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries
• Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and onboarding
• Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment
• Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
• Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Support employee engagement and company culture initiatives

Payroll Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Coordinate with finance/accounting for payroll reporting and reconciliation
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Manage timekeeping systems and ensure accurate employee time tracking
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience preferred
• 2+ years of HR coordinator or HR generalist experience, including payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms, preferably UKG PRO
• Familiarity with labor laws and payroll regulations
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UKG Pro or similar HRIS and payroll software
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
