Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive support across Human Resources, with primary responsibilities in talent acquisition and recruiting, employee relations support, onboarding, employee records, HR administration, and employee engagement. This position plays an active role throughout the employee lifecycle, from attracting and onboarding new employees through ongoing employee support, development, and offboarding. Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing, skilled trades, administrative, professional, and other assigned positions. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and recruiting priorities. Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, hiring manager feedback, and follow-up throughout the selection process. Assist with employment offers, pre-employment requirements, background checks, drug screens, and other hiring activities. Participate in job fairs, career fairs, community recruiting events, school partnerships, workforce-development initiatives, and other talent-pipeline activities. Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting on vacancies, time-to-fill, candidate sources, hiring activity, and other recruiting metrics. Employee Relations & Employee Support Serve as an accessible first point of contact for routine employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, attendance, benefits, payroll-related matters, workplace resources, and other general HR topics. Build positive working relationships with employees and supervisors through regular presence and interaction throughout the manufacturing facility. Support documentation and administration of coaching, counseling, attendance, corrective action, and performance-related processes as directed. Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, morale, and workplace culture initiatives. Employee Lifecycle Administration Coordinate new hire onboarding activities to provide an organized and welcoming employee experience. Prepare new hire documentation, personnel files, orientation materials, system information, and other onboarding resources. Support and participate in new hire orientation, including coordination of schedules, presenters, required documentation, policies, benefits information, and training. Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including documentation, system notifications, company property/access requirements, exit information, and personnel records. Assist with exit interviews and compile recurring feedback or trends for HR Manager review. Maintain accurate employee records throughout the employment lifecycle. HR Administration & Compliance Perform HRIS data entry and maintain employee information, job data, organizational changes, and other HR records. Assist with HR reporting, workforce data, headcount information, turnover, attendance, recruiting metrics, and other departmental analytics. Support administration of company policies and HR procedures consistently across assigned employee groups. Training, Engagement, & HR Programs Coordinate employee training activities, including scheduling, communications, attendance tracking, documentation, and completion records. Assist with employee recognition programs, engagement activities, surveys, company events, wellness initiatives, and community outreach. Support performance management activities by coordinating review cycles, tracking completion, and maintaining related documentation. Participate in HR projects involving policies, procedures, job descriptions, compensation, workforce planning, employee development, and process improvement. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of Human Resources, recruiting, HR coordination, or related experience. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. Employee relations exposure within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or similar hourly workforce environment. Experience supporting recruiting and talent acquisition activities. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred for a manufacturing workforce. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Human Resources practices across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, performance management, recordkeeping, and employee lifecycle administration. General understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Ability to listen effectively, gather relevant information, recognize employee relations concerns, and appropriately escalate sensitive matters. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish credibility and positive working relationships with employees at all organizational levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate HR information clearly and professionally. Excellent organization, prioritization, follow-through, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Benefits Work Environment This position operates in both a professional office environment and an active manufacturing facility. The HR Coordinator will regularly interact with employees on the production floor and may be exposed to noise, dust, welding and fabrication activities, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn when entering designated manufacturing areas.
