Job Summary

  • The Human Resource Coordinator aids with human resource and facilities processes within the plant that produces products and TK-owned dealerships that provide service for our products.
  • This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry utilizing multiple systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports HR administrative needs of the Thermo King Americas HR department and plant leadership as required.
  • Assists with recruitment, interview process and background process; tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds/follows up accordingly.
  • Assist with onboarding of all new hires which may include preparing employee files.
  • Schedules meetings as required by HR or GM leadership.
  • Guides process for I-9 forms, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Processes payroll and other benefits-related actions for employees each week.
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with preparation of HR metrics monthly.
  • Answers or redirects appropriately employee requests and questions.
  • May make photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents or perform other clerical functions.
  • Files documents in employees’ electronic employee file; maintains case management files for employee issues as required.
  • Assists with processing of terminations and exiting employees.
  • Assists and prepares correspondence as requested including making necessary arrangements for overnight and express mail as required.
  • Performing various administrative duties (i.e., data entry, filing, word processing, etc.).
  • May perform general receptionist duties (greet visitors, etc.).
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resources, principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Familiarity with Workday is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Dependability and confidentiality a must.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$63,111.66 - $87,639.99
