This critical role supports HR operational effectiveness by delivering accurate, timely, and employee-focused administrative support across core HR processes. The position helps ensure compliance, service quality, process consistency, and reliable HR data management while identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience and overall HR operations.
Role Definition
Supports the business by executing HR customer service and complex administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute HR processes related to employment compliance, payroll, absence management, time tracking, benefits administration, and employee data management.
• Deliver a high-quality service experience for employees and internal customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR process quality, speed, cost, and employee experience.
• Maintain HR operations knowledge resources and support reporting of HR operational metrics.
• Document and manage HR information accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established standards and policies.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Key Skills and Capabilities
• Business Process Improvement: Gathers data, identifies process gaps, supports requirements analysis, and recommends ways to reduce waste, variation, and inefficiency.
• Information Capture: Documents routine information, follows established standards, and uses tools to organize and retain business information in an auditable manner.
• Service Excellence: Provides responsive, high-quality service; resolves common customer issues; and responds to unexpected requests with urgency and professionalism.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Uses review methods, checklists, and lessons learned to complete work with precision and minimize errors.
• Employee Relations: Explains policies and procedures, assists with routine employee concerns, and supports local resolution of employee relations matters.
• HR Policies, Standards, and Procedures: Maintains HR standards, supports compliance, escalates potential exceptions, and contributes to procedure improvement.
• Human Resources Consulting: Understands HR consulting roles, gathers information, and documents options for addressing HR issues.
• Human Resources Operations: Supports day-to-day HR activities, records HR data in HR systems, documents workflows, and generates or interprets standard HR reports.

Pay Range:
$62,520.00 - $93,780.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
