Job Description
•Process all types of visas including employment visas, residence visas for employees as well as for entertainers
•Registration process and renew for all hotel vehicles
•Be up to date with regards to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures and keep the Human Resources Department advised of such changes
•Submit relevant documents periodically to the immigration / labour office with regard to cancelled / absconding employees and delete from the hotel’s sponsorship list
•Complete departure and exit formalities for employees after cancellation of visas
•Obtain quarterly sponsorship reports from the immigration / labour office and tally sponsorship and re-submit to immigration / labour office with relevant support documents.
•Help to build the IHG working culture by supporting our Winning Ways of Do the Right Thing, Show We Care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Difference and Work Better Together.
•Read, understand, and implement the relevant sections of the FLS Policy. Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department
•Participate in various initiatives of the hotel and the department such as special events and community activities.
•Ensures data protection and confidentiality at all times
•Establishes and maintains effective colleague relations, and provides guidance and assistance on matters relating to staff welfare of work
•Responsible for updating the Director of Human Resources on all the incident reports filed
•Assumes the basic function of Compensation and benefits role in the absence of the colleague
•Handles and actively supports the on boarding of new joiners
•Support talent resourcing in recruiting by organising skills tests and reference checking potential candidates.
•Contribute to the preparation of Careers expo/Job Fairs including preparation and coordinating resources.
•Assist with recruitment efforts including answering applicant telephone enquiries, create newspaper advertisements and sourcing advertisement quotes.
•Perform other tasks as may be assigned by Human Resources Manager or management from time to time
•Maintaining all employee files, applications, and processing all Human Resources related paperwork accurately and timely manner.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for staff with HR-related queries, e.g. providing salary certificates, or issues. Ensure that information / answers provided are accurate and consistent.
