Presently this position is onsite for collaboration, teamwork, and business needs. The status and minimum in-office requirements are subject to change based on evolving business needs.

This pivotal role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and more. The Human Resource Coordinator is expected to maintain meticulous records, ensure seamless HR processes, and uphold compliance with company policies and relevant employment legislation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding
    • Assist onboarding processes, preparing orientation materials, conducting new employee orientations, and ensuring a smooth assimilation into the organization.
  • HR Administration
    • Maintain and update employee records with precision and confidentiality.
    • Generate HR-related correspondence such as offer letters and documentation.
    • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Employee Relations
    • Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other matters.
    • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Collaborate on the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and communication.
    • Provide support to employees with benefit-related inquiries and offer guidance on available resources.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Coordinate employee events and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
    • Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy to ensure up-to-date and reliable information.
    • Manage filing systems to uphold organization and confidentiality standards.
    • Oversee uniform management, ensuring employees have appropriate work attire.
    • Assist in employee conversions, transitions, and promotions within the organization.
    • Facilitate orientation assistance for new hires to integrate smoothly into the company.
    • Create and manage employee badges for security and identification purposes.
  • Reimbursement and Payroll
    • Handle reimbursement processes for eligible expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Collaborate with the payroll department to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: The role involves prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer, conducting interviews, or attending meetings. Ergonomic office furniture is provided to ensure comfort.
  • Screen Time: Extensive use of computer screens is common in this role. Adequate breaks and ergonomic setups are encouraged to minimize eye strain and fatigue.
  • Mobility: While the position is predominantly sedentary, occasional mobility is required for tasks such as filing, attending meetings, and participating in office events.
  • Communication: Clear communication, both written and verbal, is crucial. This includes interacting with team members, conducting interviews, and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. The work environment may involve occasional stress due to deadlines or unexpected demands.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources or a comparable role.
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Superlative interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software
  • You must be Bilingual - English/Spanish for this role.

Salary Range:

$41,680 - $57,310

The pay range listed is for Illinois based roles. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skill sets, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, training, and location.
