Job Description

TalentLink Solutions is an HR consulting firm dedicated to the independent financial advisor. We work nationally with advisory firms and support them with all things Human Resources. The majority of the work is centered around a firm’s recruiting and hiring process. We also assist with writing employee handbooks, counseling on employee relations issues, conducting compensation studies, management consulting, and more. Our clients are on a spectrum of sophistication as it relates to HR. We have firms that are solo advisors thinking about making their first hire all the way to multi-billion-dollar, multi-state RIA’s. We have developed our brand and partnerships over the last eleven years and continue to grow exclusively through referrals.

Due to growth, TalentLink Solutions has an open HR Consultant role, supporting the firm owners with any and all of our client projects. This role can be performed remotely. Because we are heavy in recruiting, we prefer that you enjoy doing that type of work the most. Having further knowledge around other Human Resources topics is highly desired as well. No matter which function of the role you are performing, you can confidently jump into phone or video conversations with limited context, ask the right questions, and create an experience that feels thoughtful, knowledgeable, and professional, making the other party feel like you know exactly what they need. We are a flexible small business and really enjoy educating other small businesses that generally have very little experience or knowledge within HR. This role is highly consultative so a naturally curious person with a service-oriented mind is going to thrive here. Although most search engagements come through the firm’s business connections, there is the opportunity to perform business development should you choose.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our clients to understand what they do not know and all of the ways that we can help them
  • Handle prospective client calls and communicate the value we can provide
  • Provide direction, best practices and overall advice on how to be a better employer and manager
  • Serve as a strategic business partner in executing the design, implementation, administration and monitoring of best practices and programs
  • Advise clients on the administration of human resources policies and procedures; including document creation and management
  • Provide clients with guidance or training related to interviewing, performance reviews, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues
  • Work closely with senior team members to support client projects and broader firm initiatives
  • Support the offer process in many ways including making a verbal offer, writing a formal offer, presenting an offer and negotiations
  • Research and navigate state and local laws on a nationwide basis
  • Make recommendations on benefits administration/resources
  • Support the HR Recruiting Consultants on our team with prioritizing and direction
  • Create, review and/or make recommendations on job descriptions
  • Post jobs to various job boards
  • Evaluate applicants to determine alignment and next steps
  • Network, source, identify passive talent pool
  • Conduct behavioral screening interviews to determine past experience, future career plans and assess fit for our clients
  • Review/Write resumes and format as needed for presentation
  • Manage and maintain accurate candidate records within database
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, including logistics and preparation calls
  • Coordinate pre-hire logistics of reference checks, personality profiling, background checks and/or fingerprinting
  • Conduct inquisitions to assess fit for roles and personality traits, reasons for turnover or to support overall team dynamics
  • Support the monthly billing process

  • High degree of patience and ability to continuously hold others accountable, even within the same subject areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Staffing, or Practice Management
  • Proven experience conducting interviews and working knowledge of recruiting and hiring processes
  • Professional experience working directly in a client-facing capacity managing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Certificate in Human Resources, or desire to obtain, strongly preferred
