YOUR EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE IF YOU JOIN US

As part of a maternity leave replacement, we are recruiting for our Bureau Veritas Human Resources division an HR Compensation & Benefits Europe Expert (F-M-D) on a 6 month’s fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Reward Europe Director, you will join a team of 4 persons.

The position is based in Madrid, Spain.

You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of European compensation and benefits management.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Your mission is to coordinate and implement compensation and benefits strategies for our European entities, ensuring compliance and competitiveness. Your role is essential to maintaining fair, attractive, and compliant reward practices across our European operations.

You will:


• Manage annual salary review campaigns: Lead, coordinate, and oversee annual salary review processes across different European countries, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards

• Administer variable compensation programs: Manage the planning and execution of bonus campaigns for European entities

• Oversee long-term incentive (LTI) programs: Supervise the implementation and administration of LTI programs

• Conduct job evaluations: Lead job grading and evaluation analyses

• Design compensation packages: Develop and propose competitive and attractive compensation packages

• Ensure regulatory compliance: Guarantee compliance with the European Pay Transparency Directive and local regulations

• Provide HR support: Deliver first-level support on compensation and benefits matters

• Ensure policy compliance: Guarantee adherence to internal policies and regulations in force in each country

THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

Proven experience in Compensation and Benefits — Enables you to bring proven expertise and best practices to complex European reward challenges, ensuring strategic decision-making from day one.

Knowledge of international HR environments and European compensation practices — Allows you to navigate diverse regulatory landscapes and cultural expectations, ensuring locally relevant yet globally consistent reward strategies.

Fluent English (bilingual level) excellent command of Excel and MS Office tools — Ensures seamless communication across European entities while empowering you to conduct complex data analysis and build financial models that drive strategic compensation decisions.

Strong analytical capabilities with rigor and organization — Helps you identify market trends, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver critical annual processes like salary reviews across multiple countries and tight deadlines.

Discretion, confidentiality, and service orientation — Enables you to handle sensitive compensation data with integrity while providing responsive, high-quality support to HR teams and managers across Europe.

Intercultural communication, adaptability, and initiative — Facilitates productive partnerships across diverse European cultures while helping you respond proactively to evolving regulations like the Pay Transparency Directive and identify innovative reward solutions.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

You hold a Master's degree from a business school or university, ideally with specialization in Compensation & Benefits.

You have 5 years (minimum) of experience in Compensation and Benefits, ideally with a strong interest in international HR environments and European compensation practices.

WHAT WE OFFER

Salary: Between 45,000 and 50,000 euros depending on profile.
