The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team, supporting operations across Bayswater. This is a true partnering role where you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing expert guidance across employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management, investigations, engagement, remuneration and talent matters.

This role is ideally suited to a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced blue-collar environment, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships and is confident managing complex people matters. You will work closely with operational leaders and HR Centres of Excellence to deliver practical, commercially focused people solutions that support business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to provide proactive and commercially sound HR advice
  • Coach and support managers on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution and grievance matters
  • Lead and manage workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and complex employee matters
  • Provide expert advice on employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial relations matters
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including unions and employee representatives
  • Support workforce planning, talent and succession initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement activities and support implementation of action plans
  • Analyse workforce trends and metrics to identify opportunities and improve business outcomes
  • Provide guidance on remuneration and people-related decisions aligned with business frameworks
  • Support recruitment activities, including shortlisting, interviewing and selection recommendations
  • Contribute to the review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

About you:

  • Significant experience in a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
  • Strong background supporting a blue-collar workforce, ideally within manufacturing, transport, logistics, heavy industry or similar operational environments
  • Proven success providing HR advice in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities while partnering with multiple stakeholders across all levels
  • Extensive experience in employee relations, workplace investigations and performance management
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining and industrial relations matters
  • Experience working with unions and navigating complex industrial issues
  • Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical, commercially minded and solutions-focused
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline are highly regarded
