HR Business Partner (Temporary Assignment, Approx. 9 months)

Pernis & Rotterdam | 24-32 hours per week

Westlake Epoxy is part of Westlake Corporation and provides epoxy solutions for a wide range of industrial applications worldwide. In the Netherlands, we operate from two locations: our office in Rotterdam and our production site in Pernis.

To temporarily replace our HR Business Partner during maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced HR professional who is available from November onwards for approximately 9 months. You will support both our Rotterdam office and Pernis production site in a broad and highly autonomous HR role.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an international manufacturing environment, partnering with managers, directors and employees on both strategic and operational HR matters during a period of organizational change. A key aspect of the role will be supporting the ongoing closure process of our Pernis site.

What will you do?

This role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility. While supported by Payroll and HR Services for payroll and system-related processes, you will have broad ownership of both operational and strategic HR activities. Ranging from employee relations, organizational change and employment law matters to contract administration, reporting and day-to-day HR support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising and coaching managers on all HR-related matters.
• Partnering with management and directors on organizational change, workforce planning and employee relations.
• Supporting the ongoing closure process of the Pernis production site.
• Managing absence, reintegration and WIA-related cases.
• Supporting the Works Council and coordinating consultation and approval processes.
• Managing the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, contract administration and offboarding.
• Providing guidance on employment law, compensation & benefits and HR policies.
• Driving HR projects and collaborating with Payroll, Finance, Legal and international HR teams.

Who are we looking for?

You are an independent and proactive HR professional who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment. You combine strong stakeholder management skills with a pragmatic approach and are comfortable partnering with managers and directors on a broad range of HR topics. You bring structure, sound judgement and the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands.

In addition, you bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of Dutch employment law.
• Experience with absence management, WIA cases and the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter).
• Experience with reorganizations, social plans, works councils and employment law matters is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.

• A temporary contract for approximately 9 months (interim/contractor arrangements may also be considered).

• A gross annual salary between €68,000 and €80,000 on a full-time basis.
