The role

We're looking for an HR Business Partner who wants to be genuinely close to the business - not sitting on the sidelines running the process, but in the room helping leaders make good calls about their people. You'll own client groups across Operations, Revenue, Finance, and Accounting, which means you're the go-to HR partner for a set of leaders who need someone practical, trustworthy, and sharp about people issues. You'll coach leaders through tough calls, stay close enough to your teams to catch issues early, and turn what you see into real recommendations.

Where you’ll work

This role is based at our headquarters in Irving, TX, and is primarily onsite. For the first 3-5 months, you'll work from the office five days a week to build relationships and get up to speed. After that, some work-from-home flexibility may be available depending on business needs and your manager.

What you'll be doing

  • Building real, trusted relationships with your leaders and acting as their everyday HR partner.
  • Running regular check-ins to stay ahead of team health, performance issues, talent needs, and what's coming next.
  • Coaching managers through employee relations situations - performance concerns, difficult conversations, investigations, documentation.
  • Supporting performance cycles, development conversations, promotions, and retention and talent planning.
  • Helping leaders navigate the people's side of organizational change.
  • Using people data to spot trends and bring practical, not theoretical, recommendations to the table.
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition and Talent Operations on hiring, role changes, and workforce planning.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of HRBP or related HR experience.
  • Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, and supporting leaders through organizational change.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment practices.
  • Comfort using HR systems and people data to spot trends and drive recommendations.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills - you'll be trusted with sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Perks of working for ShiftKey

  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment where all voices are valued.
  • Hybrid-friendly office spaces designed to be fun and engaging.
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Benefits begin on your first day.
  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including flexible floating holidays.
  • 100% 401(k) employer match up to 6%.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Wellness support, including access to mental health resources.
