Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Be accountable for providing strategic Human Resource (HR) advice within a locally relevant framework, improving the quality of business decisions and drives business value. You will shape the business transformation; while, building organizational capability, leadership strength, and performance culture. Additionally, you will mold the HR infrastructure and services based on a deep understanding of the market/business and drive quality of HR practice across the organization, while translating strategic business objectives into an effective people organization.

What You'll Do

As a member of our HR Business Partner team, you will:

  • Build strong partnerships with leaders to understand business operations, financial drivers, and strategic priorities, using that knowledge to deliver relevant value-driven consultation.
  • Leverage workforce analytics, organizational trends, and business insights to identify opportunities, anticipate business needs, and develop evidenced based people strategies that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by anticipating workforce challenges and opportunities, providing evidence-based strategic guidance, and helping leaders navigate complex people decisions.
  • Support leaders through organizational change by helping them anticipate impacts, communicate effectively, and navigate change in a way that supports employees and business objectives.
  • Provide guidance that supports consistent people practices while balancing organizational priorities, business needs, and unique circumstances of each situation.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen team performance, enhance leadership effectiveness, and create meaningful opportunities for employee development and career growth.
  • Facilitate collaboration across enterprise stakeholders to coordinate expertise and support integrated organizational solutions.
  • Partner across HR Centers of Experience to develop and implement integrated solutions that align with business priorities, strengthen organizational capability, and support leaders in achieving their goals.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 5+ years of experience in an HR Business Partnering or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing HR best practices with an understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices.
  • Some experience in planning and managing delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including Google Sheets Slides.
  • Some experience mentoring people.
  • Proven performance in earlier role

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:

  • SHRM-CP or Professional in Human Resources (PHR), preferred.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $94,640 - $169,520 per year for the role of HR Business Partner.
