The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for leading and executing HR processes and activities, aligning HR strategy and goals to local business needs, and connecting with our Shared Services team to implement HR programs, while reporting into our HR function inside Asahi Kasei America, Inc. Job Tasks

  • Working with Asahi Kasei’s HR team, help execute and drive the organization's HR strategy and goals in alignment with local business objectives
  • Serve as an HR advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, talent management, and employee relations
  • Manage a heavy recruitment workload with assistance from internal recruiter and coordinate with temp agencies for the onboarding of new hires
  • Executing Human Resources programs and practices working alongside our HR Shared Services team, including talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, compliance, and HR operations activities
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international employment laws and regulations, maintaining HR policies, governance, and best practices across all locations
  • Oversee employee relations, conduct workplace investigations, and provide guidance on performance and conflict resolution
  • Advise management on employee relations matters, including appropriate corrective actions and performance improvement strategies
  • Direct annual performance review and salary planning activities
  • Work alongside the front desk support to coordinate onboarding and exiting employee activities
  • Monitor HR metrics and use data to inform strategic decisions and improve organizational effectiveness
  • Identify organizational risks and develop proactive workforce solutions
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
  • Managing the onboarding process for new employees in order to accelerate integration into the company
  • Collaborating with other HR colleagues and/or Center of Expertise (COEs) to implement HR programs
  • Providing HR reports and ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications)

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree; 2-5 years of HRBP experience

Required Skills

  • Ability to foster and maintain relationships with employees across all levels in the organization
  • Comfortable developing and executing HR processes and initiatives
  • Familiarity with HRIS management systems – Workday a plus

Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel

  • Sits, walks, stands sometimes. Lift occasionally.
  • Travel 10% of the time

The base compensation range for this role is $85,000-$115,000. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
