This position assists the Human Resources Manager in administering plans and programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support the South Molton site and the Aerospace goals and objectives.
• Assist the HR Manager in the administration and implementation of all phases in human resources including but not limited to: employment, compensation, benefits, merit and VPP payments, labour relations, training, and employee’s compensation
• Arranges and oversees final employment or transfer processing, including arranging background checks and Occupational Health surveillance & referrals, reviewing and verifying information, extending employment offers. Handles correspondence related to staffing including offer letters, rejection letters, etc.
• Manages the disability claim process, coordinates each case with Occ. Health and/or MAKE UK when appropriate and works with employees to facilitate positive employee relations and expedite return to full-duty work
• Responsible for working with Business area leaders, employees and employee representatives to foster culture of employee engagement.
• Coordinates business areas participation and feedback in the employee survey in conjunction with HR team; works with managers to develop action plans and monitors action plan completion
• Owns all HR related metrics in areas of business the HRBP business partners with
Responsible for all levels of recruitment from start to finish within business partner areas
Assist in responding to day-to-day employee relations issues
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or CIPD level 5
• HR experience and/or general employee relations experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills including use of tact, judgment, and influencing.
• Proven ability in counseling/advising in various employment-related matters.
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook required; prior experience managing a HRIS desirable.
• Strong UK employment legislation knowledge
