Pay, Schedule & Location
Pay: $75,000 to $90,000
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Columbus, OH (Metro Area) – includes local travel to business units
What You’ll Do
Employee & Manager Support
• Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across assigned business units
• Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance on performance management and employee development
• Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and promoting a positive workplace culture
HR Programs & Employee Experience
• Deliver and support HR programs including onboarding, engagement, recognition, and career development
• Guide employees in accessing benefits, learning opportunities, and community resources
• Partner with managers to promote career pathways and workforce development opportunities
• Conduct follow-ups to support retention and engagement of new hires
Compliance & HR Operations
• Interpret and apply HR policies, employment laws, and organizational practices
• Support pre-employment processes including background checks and drug screenings
• Monitor HR data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Partner with leadership to identify training needs and support workforce initiatives
• Contribute to HR projects and operational improvements
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• 2–3+ years of HR experience in a mid-size or multi-site organization
• HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Lean / Six Sigma experience or certification a plus
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with employees at all levels
• Effective coaching, influencing, and conflict resolution abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to apply an effective problem-solving process and document findings
• Ability to analyze HR data and use systems (HCM/HRIS) to support decision-making
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Work Environment
• Office and field-based role supporting multiple location
• Moderate noise environment with frequent interaction with employees and managers
• Local travel required to business units
