HR Business Partner

Nissan is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world. Nissan in AMIEO is committed to create customer satisfaction. Not only by introducing trendsetting cars like the new LEAF, QASHQAI, JUKE and ARIYA, but also by providing top level service to customers. Nissan Motor Parts Center (NMPC) in Amsterdam is Nissan's master depot for AMIEO region and location of the S&D AMIEO region management. NMPC supplies spare parts and accessories directly to dealers and distributors in Europe. From our 90,000 m2 warehouse in Amsterdam we distribute some 350.000 different articles in Europe 24 hours a day.

The role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner who builds strong relationships with employees and managers and acts as a trusted sparring partner to the business. You translate business needs into effective people solutions by proactively connecting people, priorities, and processes across the organisation.

You operate at the heart of the organisation, contributing to meaningful discussions, connecting stakeholders, and turning best practices into impactful solutions. Through close collaboration with leaders and teams, you help shape a more professional, agile, and future‑ready HR organisation.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to management
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance cycles
  • Translate business priorities into effective HR strategies, policies, and solutions
  • Strengthen people and culture by connecting employees and leaders
  • Advise and support managers in complex employee relations, including absence management, balancing business needs with employee wellbeing
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, including building and maintaining partnerships with schools and educational institutions to attract future talent
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition on recruitment strategy and execution
  • Promote continuous learning by shaping and supporting development & growth initiatives
  • Support people initiatives that enhance engagement, transparency, fairness, and retention.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner in a complex organisation
  • Proven experience in project management and supporting organisational change initiatives
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand operational and strategic priorities
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch labour legislation and HR governance
  • Strong negotiation skills, able to balance business needs with HR policies and compliance
  • Sound decision‑making skills, demonstrating good judgement in complex situations
  • Excellent consultative and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with managers and external stakeholders.

Human Resources Department

This role is based in Amsterdam and forms part of a local HR team consisting of two HR Business Partners, a Health & Safety Supervisor, and a Process & Payroll Coordinator.

Operating within an international organisation, you collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders across local management, European HR hubs, and central HR functions, including HR Administration & Workday, Talent Acquisition, Reward, and Talent Development.
