Job Description

Role Purpose

Supports Plant HR Manager to ensure that his/her plant has the right number and type of talent to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results; Ensures plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates as “One Corning” in support of Corning’s values; Assists in achieving or beating budgetary objectives in support of top quartile performance objectives while maintaining appropriate levels of HR service delivery; Assists in successful implementation of global HR business processes within the plant; Ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines

Key Responsibilities

  • Encompass HR processes at MTA, as well, provide HR guideline to internal clients aligned to plant staff structure.
  • E2E process for new salaried employees
  • Provide C&B and org design structure guideline to assigned internal clients.
  • Close communication with plant talent to ensure and develop talent pipeline according to talent actions defined.
  • Land HR projects and assist HRM for plant activities.
  • Provide Labor Relations guideline and/or monitoring labor relations framework to assure a standardized environment.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/experience

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • At least +3 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined)
  • Work experience supporting multiple client groups.
  • Proven experience E2E new salaried employees onboarding.
  • Successful track record in deployment of HR processes and/or programs.
  • Proven talent program needs assessment and gap analysis skills.
  • Successful track record in the deployment of global HR business processes or programs.
  • Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
