Compensation: $45,000 - $51,000 / year

The HR Associate supports day-to-day human resources activities with a primary focus on recruiting and HR operations. This position offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions. Working closely with and under the supervision of a certified HR consultant, the Associate will gain practical experience in talent acquisition, candidate evaluation, and HR documentation while contributing to meaningful organizational initiatives. This role does not require prior experience in HR and we provide a development program that culminates in SHRM certification within 2 years.

You are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in human resources and talent acquisition. You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders. You take initiative, manage your time effectively, and approach tasks with a high level of organization and professionalism. You are curious about best practices in HR and excited to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project consultants in preparation of client deliverables. Key areas include, but are not limited to, HR process design (recruiting, on boarding, performance management), learning and development, change and people transition management.
  • With guidance, support clients in the day-to-day HR needs, including employee relations, hiring, onboarding and HR administration support
  • Provide clients with HR metrics and reports, offering insights to improve their workforce management.
  • Contribute to internal projects and the company's HR knowledge base including best practices, templates, and process design.

Committed to the self-study requirements to prepare for SHRM-CP certification in 2 years.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Desire to become certified through a recognized HR accreditation provider.
  • Proficient with Mac OS, MS Office products, Google Drive, Google Apps, and Slack.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with three days per week based in Parsippany, NJ.
