Here at GXO, we're recruiting for an HR Assistant to join our team at our Rockingham site in Corby This is a 9-month fixed-term contract, working 5 out of 7 days, 08:00 – 16:00, where you'll play a key role in supporting the People Team and delivering an efficient, professional service across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Provide administrative and operational support to the People Team, ensuring HR processes and colleague records are maintained accurately and efficiently
• Support onboarding, inductions and employee lifecycle activities, helping to deliver a positive experience for new and existing colleagues
• Assist managers with people-related processes, including absence management, investigations, disciplinary administration and general HR guidance
• Produce and maintain HR reports, people data and site records, ensuring information remains accurate, confidential and GDPR compliant
• Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous administrative experience within a HR, people-focused or customer service environment, or transferable skills with a strong interest in Human Resources
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to work confidently with systems and data
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn, take ownership and develop within a HR career path
