NOVA is seeking a motivated and organized HR & Talent Specialist to support and strengthen our workforce within our residential program serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). What You’ll Do:

• Lead recruiting efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination
• Support onboarding, background checks, and new hire processes
• Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (ICF-IID, DHSR, CARF standards)
• Assist with employee benefits and HR processes
• Support supervisors with employee relations, documentation, and HR guidance
• Track and coordinate staff training and compliance requirements
• Monitor employee engagement and workplace morale; share insights and recommend improvements
• Support audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance efforts

This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or administrative support
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or IDD services preferred
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and personnel processes preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and support multiple departments
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity or similar) preferred

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred
• Relevant experience may substitute for education

Salary Description
$48,000 - 55,000 annual salary
