Recruitment stalls when the small things get missed. A background check that isn’t chased. A half-finished record. An interview invite sent out late. Your job is to make sure those things don’t happen.
You’ll coordinate recruitment administration, support safer recruitment checks, maintain accurate records and help managers and candidates receive a clear, responsive service.
You’ll work closely with our Talent Acquisition Partner, People Operations Partner, HR colleagues and managers across college. Your job is all about progressing our jobs, supporting compliance and making sure recruitment feels organised, professional and fair.
If you’re some who enjoys a busy environment and can focus on detail and follow through at the same time. You'll take ownership, spot what's missing and keep things moving without being asked.
What you'll do
- Coordinate recruitment administration from vacancy approval to appointment.
- Prepare and publish adverts using templates and recruitment systems.
- Arrange interviews, send invites and keep candidates up to date.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, vacancy trackers and system updates.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks including identity, right to work, references, qualifications and DBS.
- Support accuracy of safer recruitment records and our Single Central Record.
- Escalate missing, delayed or concerning information promptly.
- Support wider HR administration.
What you'll bring
- Experience in administration, ideally in HR, recruitment, education or a regulated industry.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding or compliance processes.
- Strong organisation and ability to juggle different tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, recruitment systems and digital trackers.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment, pre-employment checks or Single Central Record requirements is helpful, but we can train you.
