Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor who combines sound judgement and practical HR knowledge with empathy, integrity and respect. In this hands-on role, you will help leaders and employees thrive by delivering consistent, human centred advice across the employee lifecycle and contributing to a trusted, responsive HR service.

About this role

You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing trusted HR advice and support on workplace matters. Your guidance will help drive fair and consistent people decisions, positive employee experiences, and compliance with policies, industrial instruments and employment legislation.

What you will do

  • Provide timely, practical HR advice on employee relations, industrial relations, policies and people processes.
  • Coach managers to build capability and confidently manage day-to-day people matters.
  • Identify sensitive, complex or high risk matters and escalate them appropriately.
  • Prepare accurate employment documentation, correspondence and HR records.
  • Support consistent, timely processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, administrators and the wider People and Culture team.
  • Develop practical tools and identify opportunities to improve HR service delivery.

About you

  • You are an experienced HR professional with proven experience in an HR advisory or comparable generalist role.
  • You bring practical experience supporting employee relations and industrial relations matters.
  • You have sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and can confidently interpret industrial instruments.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, influence effectively and build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
  • You demonstrate sound judgement, problem-solving, research and investigation skills.
  • You maintain accurate HR documentation, records and data with strong attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
  • You take a practical, solutions-focused approach and bring empathy and integrity to every interaction.
  • You are proactive, collaborative, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in aged care, health or a similarly regulated, people-focused environment is desirable but not essential.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in human resources or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Current Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance Certificate issued within the past 6 months.
  • Evidence of Current Influenza vaccination as per Amana Living policy.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
