About the Role

Due to our continued growth/success, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced HR Advisor to join our Perth Head Office. The HR Advisor is responsible for providing accurate and timely HR advice, and support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and Monford’s high-performance culture.

This is a Perth based role and the successful candidate must be willing to travel to project sites as required.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Bachelor Degree in HRM or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated competency in managing and supporting the various HR functions, contracts of employment, tickets and licencing, verification of competencies, visa compliance, and enterprise bargaining agreement terms
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and applicable employee relations legislation, including Fair Work Act, Equal Opportunity, State and Federal Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
  • Recent site-based experience within civil, engineering and/ or construction environments in Australia is highly desirable

What you will do

  • Provide high quality, accurate and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Support end to end recruitment process for various office and project based positions.
  • Ensure all employee documentation is stored on Sharepoint or Viewpoint, as directed and in compliance with procedural requirements.
  • Provide monthly HR reporting statistics to Chief of People.
  • Update and maintain HR records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is current, accurate, accessible and stored correctly Identify, analyse and recommend continuous improvement in HR and coordinate the delivery of projects to improve the delivery of HR initiatives and services.
  • Preparation of employment related documentation including letters of offer, position descriptions and corporate templates.
  • Understand and Maintain compliance with the terms of Monford’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
  • Interpret project specific conditions and ensure approved by Project Manager and Chief of People for each project.
  • Maintain personnel records on HRIS.
  • Ensure all tickets, qualifications or other employment related minimum conditions for each roles are uploaded within Viewpoint and HRIS.
  • Onboard all employees and ensure they are informed of pre-mobilisation requirements, travel dates, inductions, training and ensure payroll and IT and office management personnel are aware of their new starter requirements.
  • Ensure right to work in Australia is evidenced for all Employees and Visa Status monitored regularly and expiry dates reported on to ensure ‘right to work’ in Australia and/or Monford’s is always current.
  • Support Managers with employee performance, development and training requirements.
  • Ensure probationary assessment of all new starters are provided within requisite timeframes and actions followed through.
  • Elevate any employee grievance or summary termination to Chief of People.
  • Upload all employee termination, grievance, dispute and exit information to HRIS.
  • Maintain understanding of employment law principles and application of those principles to recruitment processes and contractual / industrial arrangements. Including but not limited to; EEO, Department of Immigration, Australian Taxation Office, Fair Work Act, Occupational Health and Safety, National Code of Practice.
